About Veterans Last Parade
Where It All Began
At Veterans Last Parade we ask
“Why is a veteran different?”
and
” Who is a veteran? “.
The answer is not always so obvious.
A veteran is someone who has sacrificed many years of their life to honourably serve in H M forces, in doing so, helping to secure the peaceful and safe lifestyle enjoyed by all of us today and in the years to come.
All gave some – some gave all.
Veterans Last Parade was first conceived in 2016 by two long serving soldiers who are now themselves veterans from the British Army, after seeing their brothers and sisters sadly killed in action receiving a military funeral upon their repatriation to the UK.
We believe that surviving veterans should have that same recognition when taking their final journey, thereby letting those amongst us know in a very visual manner, that this person had and did, make a sacrifice for them.
Allow us now the honour and privilege to carry our brother’s and sisters in arms on their last parade in a fitting final farewell, that we veterans and our families will truly understand and embrace.
We will remember them for their sacrifice for us.
